I agree that you guys are young. But seriously, with Patrick Patterson, John Wall (who I think is overrated, but still good) and Demarcus Cousins... there's no reason to have that many losses with your creampuff schedule, or close games. (Aren't these guys projected 1st round draft picks?) Even then, you guys still lost to South Carolina, struggled to beat Auburn and so on...
After looking at your schedule I only see 3 good wins... two against Gerogetown and at West Virgina. Outside of that It's not a world beating schedule big guy. The world is finding out the Nova is not what they were last year so regardless of ranking they don't scare anyone. Did you forget about Cornell? They punched their way into the dance (yet again). And those WVU and one of the Georgetown wins were on the road (has Kentucky beaten a ranked team on the road this year?)
Villanova is Villanova. You can't call it a bad win. The team has 24 wins, and six losses this year, regardless of what you say, it's a good win.
Not to mention, wins against teams with receiving top 25 votes as in... Memphis, California and Cornell (who I've already mentioned)
Looking at Kentucky's schedule I see you guys beat.... two top 25 teams this year. Tennessee (at home) and Vandy (at home). And nobody with receiving votes. Your teams SOS is in the 40's. There's no doubting, Syracuse's "body of work" (as Gary Parrish likes to call it) is better.
Looking at this years Big East Tournament bracket. I only see Syracuse being able to improve their tournament resume (we play Georgetown again tomorrw, to get a chance of beating them on the road, at home and at a neutral site this year) and other NCAA Tournament schools in the Big East if we beat GU. Kentucky on the other hand doesn't have that advantage unless they play Tenn or Vandy.
Point is.. we may have one more loss... but our "body of work" is way better than Kentucky's.
Mike I would like to go on the record as saying I have nothing but respect for the Cuse... love their team and feel you guys have a legit shot at winning it all. What I can't stand is a young kid like your self who seems to always jump on the Cats when your team has as many holes to fill with an older more "experienced" team. I like Kentucky. But hate the fans. I think you guys are a joke, honestly. You guys have the highest percentage of idiot fans, and homer fans but I guess I'll just have to deal. Although, you seem decent. But just admit Syracuse has played better than UK this year despite having only one more loss.
