"Clerks" star Brian O'Halloran, who worked here a few years ago on "Hooking Up," also appears in the film starring Jensen Bucher as a diner waitress who is trying to avoid becoming the next target of a serial killer who poses his victims as pin-up girls and shoots them for a calendar.

Radio legend Jerry Blavat and wrestlers the Blue Meanie and Al Snow will also appear in the film, shooting from March 7 to March 21 in the area. It's being co-directed and co-written by Faith Brody and Derek Lindeman. 94 WYSP digital coordinator Tommy Avallone produces with John Guarnere and Frank Vain. Jake Matthews is executive producer.

Bucks guy directs 'Groovaloos'

Bucks County-raised Danny Cistone is thrilled to bring his show "Groovaloos," which he is directing, to the Merriam Theater (250 S. Broad) March 9 through March 14. Cistone, 35, a William Tennant High grad, started dancing when he was 6, moved to Los Angeles in 1995 and soon began dancing with the hip-hop dance troupe the Groovaloos, who appeared twice on the Fox hit "So You Think You Can Dance."

Cistone, who says that he was "the kid with parachute pants trying to dance like Michael Jackson" while attending Stackpole Elementary, in Southampton, went on to dance on Broadway in "Grease" and "Gypsy." Cistone, and Broadway performer wife, Angela Pupello, have twin daughters Francesca and Mariella, 2.

After JoAnn Cistone saw how well her son Danny was doing in dance, she opened up Babylon School of Dance, in Chalfont.

Danny's sister JoAnn Chiavon is now the artistic director there.

The family is all excited to see "Groovaloos" on stage at the Merriam. After closing here, the Groovaloos head to Miami and to Las Vegas.
