The panel will feature YWCA of Greater Cleveland Executive Director Barbara Danforth, North Olmsted School District Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Dubsky, Cuyahoga County Public Library Executive Director Sari Feldman and Stephanie Morales, Director of Key Career Place at Cuyahoga Community College. These accomplished women will discuss the challenges women continue to face to become community leaders. • The history of the Cleveland Municipal Airport will be presented by air racing historian, Bill Meixner, 2 p.m. Feb. 28. Learn little-known facts about Cleveland’s major airport, including how it was planned and opened in the 1920s and how it has changed over the years.

• Surviving Hard Times is a free guide for patrons to easily access resources that could assist them during these difficult economic times. The guide includes pages of information with employment resources, social service links, health care assistance, emergency resources, and help for veterans and seniors. Most of these resources are in Lorain County and Northeast Ohio. Anyone can access the guide by going to alpl.org and clicking on the link, Surviving Hard Times.

• Internet Training â€" Contact the reference department at (440) 933-7710 and set up a beginner’s training session for one-on-one assistance.

• The Avon Lake AARP is offering free tax counseling and return preparation of federal, state and local returns. This service is available for senior citizens and low income taxpayers. This electronic filing service, provided by IRS test certified counselors, is offered 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday through April 14. By appointment only.

• War Story Book Discussion with retired Army Major Clyde Cocke, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9. We will discuss “Citizen Soldiers: the U.S. Army from the Normandy Beaches to the Bulge to the Surrender of Germany” by Stephen Ambrose.
