Music discussion in Cape May

What Is It: Local jazz and blues musicians celebrate Cape May County's African-American heritage at the "Black, Blue & True: To the Tune of Inspiration" exhibit panel discussion today.

What To Expect: William W. May's photographs of Cape May County's African-American jazz and blues musicians and the artists who inspired them are on exhibit. Musicians featured in the exhibit and May will serve as panelists and Jeff Duperon, the host of Straight Ahead on WRTI-FM 90.1, Temple University's radio station, will moderate.

Event Info: Panel discussion starts at 4 p.m. today at the Carriage House Gallery, located on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., Cape May. Admission to the panel discussion is free. Light refreshments will be provided. The exhibit runs through April 18 and will be open weekends until March 21 and daily beginning March 26. Hours vary. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children (ages 3-12), or free with any tour of the Physick Estate. For gallery hours, call 609-884-5404.
